Fiber Optics Networks engineer:
Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in designing and deploying, and In-building Fiber Optics Networks. Provide technical leadership through development, programming, and research, analysis of current system design, developing and providing recommendations.
The successful candidate should be highly motivated with good underpinning experienced in fibre optic cable solutions, Air Blown Fibre Optic Cable and aerial deployment would be a distinct advantage. You should have proven experience in working within a dynamic and demanding environment where customers both internal and external remain at the forefront of their focus. Develop, design and manage implementation, installation and configuration of network hardware (base stations, repeaters, routers, switches, etc)
Your role will be to provide technical support for production as well as sales and customers. This includes, design, material selection, Fiber Optic Cable testing and application support. Fully conversant with Fluke OTDR, test report generating etc. Experience in AutoCAD, Photoshop, designing & developing drawings for structured cabling an added Advantage.
You will have at least 4 years relevant commercial experience and knowledge of design and Planning of Fibre Optic & copper networks, Installation of Fibre Optic cables, in particular using air blown systems, single and Multimode Fibre Optic splicing both fusion & mechanical , testing and cable jointing techniques, Principles of Construction for overhead and Fibre Optic cable networks and be able to carry out of detailed site surveys, preparing BOQ, Quotation etc.

Job description:
Telephone Engineer, Contract Job in Belfast, Daily rate.
Job Role:
The primary functions of the role are to provide proactive management of customer and internal infrastructure, 2nd level telephone support to the assigned customer base, detailed problem analysis and to manage escalation to third parties as required.
Key responsibilities include:
• Proactive incident and problem management for customer and internal IP network and security solutions, including remote troubleshooting and diagnosis
• Professional and courteous customer interaction via various channels including telephone, e-mail, and face-to-face meetings
• Interaction and co-operative ticket management with other helpdesks, both internally and external (customer and supplier)
• Interaction with other engineers within the organisation's service escalations.
• Interaction with third parties for Level 3 technical and logistical support (e.g. Cisco TAC).
• Proactive monitoring of customer networks using network management tools and procedures.
• Adherence to change management processes
• Adherence to defined service commissioning and cutover processes
• Participation in on-call rota to deliver 24x7 services.
Requirements:
• At least 2 years experience in a Telecoms Support environment or at least 3 years experience in a IT Support environment
• Previous Service Provider environment skills an advantage
• CCNA at a minimum, CCNP an advantage
• MCSE an advantage
• Linux and scripting skills (Preferred)
• Role requires Security Clearance to (at minimum) Restricted level
• Capable of working both independently and as part of a team
• Proven ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal working relationships
• Strong oral and written communication skills

The Role:
Announce Network and Installation is an established Communications company based in Belfast N Ireland. We specialise in the installation of, Telephone Systems including VoIP, Structured Cabling and Optic Fibre. We also offer Cheaper Calls via Least Cost Routing, and analogue telephone systems.
Due to expansion we are now in a position to offer exciting opportunities to Field Sales looking to break into or continue their career in this financially lucrative industry.
Whilst you will be given leads, you will be expected to generate your own. Typically you will spend 1 to 2 days working from home or from our office generating leads, setting appointments and running your own diary. The remainder of your time will be spent on the road visiting clients, explaining the benefits of some or all of our portfolio and ultimately sign them up to a product with Integra.
